The Main Line comes with a rich history, both culturally and monetarily. It is referred to as the Main Line because the former Pennsylvania Railroad placed its route from Philadelphia out into the country here. What is now Route 30 was the home of the rail line and Pennsylvania Railroad built stations along the line which encouraged people to develop the land near them.
